Post-Execution Ratification of Contracts: The board voted to ratify all contracts currently pending on this month’s post-execution ratification list, as shown above, including contract with King Media to establish a media campaign to increase vaccination rates in under-vaccinated populations.

Purchase of New Community Support Unit: The Board voted to approve the issuance of a Purchase Order to LDV Custom Specialty Vehicles for purchase of a Community Support Unit.

Summary:

The County has plans to replace the Sheriff’s Office's Community Support Unit, which is in very poor condition. Due to increasing material costs, limited availability and ongoing supply-chain issues, we request that the Board authorize the issuance of a Purchase Order for the unit now. This purchase was not originally budgeted for FY22, however, the quote provided to the County is only valid until July 20, 2022 after which time there would be a substantial increase based on current pricing.

The purchase will be funded from the Equipment Replacement Fund. Payments to the Equipment Replacement Fund will start upon delivery (FY23) and be made from the marijuana refinery state payments. The FY 2023 Equipment Replacement Fund will reflect paying for this unit.

Purchasing has assisted with sourcing through LDV Custom Specialty Vehicles under an established governmental cooperative agreement. The total price of the unit as specified, including shipping, is $592,884.00
