Update from Public Health: Public Health Director Lisa Stefanovski updated the Board on recent Covid statistics and news. Ottawa County is currently seeing a diminished level of coronavirus cases as measured by a variety of metrics. Our case positivity is once again near 5%, not seen since early fall, with testing remaining stable at 8-9000 tests per week. Our cases per million are 107.1, again not seen since early fall. Our current cases are averaging 43 cases per day, again something not seen since early fall.

Regarding vaccines, Ottawa County has been shipped 31,625 doses, with the Health Department receiving 13,025 of those doses and 18,600 doses were shipped to area Hospitals. Overall, Ottawa County residents have been administered 41,638 doses, in part because many residents have had been vaccinated outside Ottawa County.

This week, we are receiving 975 doses of the Pfizer and 700 moderna doses. Here in Holland, we are partnering this week with St. Francis for 250 doses. This is a very welcome development, as the successful vaccinnaion of the targeted population will help us increase our current vaccination rate of 7.1% of non-white people aged 65 and over.

Post-Execution Ratification of Contracts: The Board voted to ratify all contracts currently pending on the post-execution ratification list.

Ottawa County Facilities Maintenance Department 2020 Annual Report: The Board received for information the Ottawa County Facilities Maintenance Department 2020 Annual Report. Facilities Management continues to do strong work on providing Ottawa County residents and employee with modern energy efficient workplace facilities.

Ottawa County Equalization Department 2020 Annual Report: The Board received for information the Ottawa County Equalization Department 2020 Annual Report. Estimates for 2021 taxable value are for a 4.25% increase and 7.00% increase in State Equalized Value. Sales since the beginning of Covid have been robust, especually in the Residential and industrial sector.

Ottawa County Community Mental Health 2020 Annual Report: The Board received for information the Ottawa County Community Mental Health 2020 Annual Report. Overall, Revenues for 2020 were strong, at $40.8M for Behavioral Health vs. $38.7M in 2019 with a stable level of service provision, even during the Covid emergency.
