Community Action Agency Advisory Board: The Board voted 9-2 to approve Britney Brown for the Consumer Sector vacancy beginning immediately and ending December 31, 2023.

Amendment to a Resolution from December 13, 2022 Meeting: The Board voted 6-5 to approve a resolution stating that the Resolution from the December 13, 2022 Board of Commissioners meeting improperly left out that the new Health Director would only be appointed if approved by the Board.

I voted no, as I don’t believe there to be any legitimate basis for amending this Resolution, which correctly stated our desire to appoint Ms. Hambley as our Health Officer.

Although the motion was presented as merely a housecleaning issue, it should be said that the Resolution was clear in its intent to appoint Ms Hambley as Health officer and that the Resolution itself made that appointment, obviating any need for further Board action for approval.
