Resolution to Declare Tuesday, November 24, 2020 as “Michigan Adoption Day in Ottawa County”: The Board approved the Resolution declaring Tuesday, November 24, 2020 as “Michigan Adoption Day in Ottawa County.” to better promote and support adoptions in the County of Ottawa and highlight adoptions and the need for additional adoptive homes in the media.
Elections Division: I want to congratulate the Elections Division and the entire network of Clerks and Poll Workers around Ottawa County for their work this past week. Nearly 170,000 Ottawa County residents voted on November 3 and the weeks leading up to that, with over 100,000 of those being absentee ballots. I think Ottawa County residents should be proud of the work that all these individuals did to make sure Ottawa County residents could safely and securely exercise their Right to Vote.
